Powder coating

We perform powder coating in spraying booths with a floor exhaust system which guarantees high purity of the surroundings. The construction design enables an easy change in the colour shade, with minimum time necessary for transition to another colour shade. Coating materials are applied by manual electrokinetic and electrostatic spray guns of the Zeus and MS Topcase brands from Italian and Swiss manufacturers. They guarantee high-quality coating even in places with difficult access. The process of curing of powder coating materials takes place in gas ovens with a forced air circulation system.

For transport of large and heavy products we use an overhead rail system. The size of the product is up to 8 x 2.5 x 2.8 m with a weight up to 2,500 kg.

We process also small piece jobs and small products in series on a separated workplace and their maximum dimensions are up to 3.5 x 1.5 x 2.0 m with a total weight up to 50 kg.

Manual blasting

We use 50/80 abrasive / steel wire blasting medium as the blasting material. The blasting station consists of the actual booth with a floor exhaust system, equipment for recycling of the abrasive medium and filtration equipment. The individual parts form a compact whole controlled by an electropneumatic control system. We are able to blast products up to a size of 7 x 5 x 5 m and weight of 2,500 kg. The transfer of products is ensured by a crane track with a load bearing capacity of up to 2,500 kg.

Automatic blasting

The blasting robot is an innovation in blasting technologies. It is specially designed mainly for blasting of complex shapes and it is able to evenly blast also a surface in places with a difficult access. The blasting of both simple and complex shapes is carried out in a suspended condition individually as well as in a group. Thanks to this technology, the processing of the surface achieves the highest possible quality. The dimensions are 3 x 1.6 x 1.6 m and the load bearing capacity is max. 1,000 kg.

A core innovation of this series of blasting equipment is a change in the blasting method. During the work cycle, the hook only turns to the right or to the left. Instead of the hook transfer, the block with throwing turbines swings in an angle of up to 55°. This swinging motion is controlled by an actuating system enabling the setting of the required width of the action area of the blasting stream directly by operators. This is carried out according to the size and nature of blasted parts. One of the many possibilities of this design is the exactly pre-set directing of the abrasive medium blasting stream to critical places, which is especially advantageous during the blasting of complex parts. This increases the efficiency of the blasting process.

Pre-treatment of hot-dip galvanisation zinc - sweeping

This process concerns the so-called sweeping, which is light re-blasting of the zinc surface and creation of an anchor pattern for application of the primary layer of coating or plastic materials.

Pre-treatment of the hot-dip galvanisation zinc is very important, because it influences, in a significant way, adhesion of the subsequent layer, and thus the durability of the entire anti-corrosion system as well.

For the coating of parts which are hot-dip galvanised with sweeping pre-treatment we provide a guarantee in a full amount, regardless of the colour shade which you choose. Maximum dimensions of swept products are up to 7 x 5 x 5 m with a weight of 2,000 kg.

Phosphating

Chemical pre-treatment is another of important factors of pre-treatment of metal parts, which influences the product lifetime..

Phosphating is carried out with the use of a high-pressure unit in the washing box, which is specially designed for pre-treatment of complex iron and aluminium parts. The temperature of the liquid oscillates around 60 °C. The phosphating of a product is followed by drying at 120 °C in a gas dryer and by its subsequent coating.

Maximum dimensions of phosphated products are up to 8 x 2.5 x 2.8 m with a total weight up to 2,500 kg.

Packing activity

According to the wish and requirements of our customers we pack products intended for export in bubble wrap, Mirelon foil or corrugated paper. We ship products on pallets, secured with shrinkage foil or a tape (plastic, metallic or textile). For transport we use high-lift motor trucks with a possibility of lifting up to 3,000 kg.

\

Transport

We offer transport of material from the customer and back, either by a van or by a large truck (7 x 2.4 x 2.45 m + possibility of a trailer connection).

Frequently asked questions

What is powder coating?

Modern surface treatment of metal products.

The principle is application of the powder coating material onto the part surface with subsequent curing in the oven. The powder coating material contains resins, pigment, or additives, and creates dry powder consistence. In order to ensure good adhesion of the powder coating material on the part, the application equipment supplies an electrostatic charge, and the part as such is grounded. The application of the powder coating material on the part uses compressed, dried and purified air which is produced in a compressor station, dried in an absorption dryer and purified by means of a special carbon filtration system.

Electrostatic energy uses the fact that particles with opposite charges attract each other. This fact causes attraction of powder coating particles to the sprayed part and adhesion on its surface. The powder coating material is cured at a temperature of 180 °C to 200 °C in the curing oven and adheres to the surface of the product. After 20 – 30 minutes of curing, the product is allowed to cool and is immediately prepared for shipment.

  • The coated layer is resistant to impacts
  • Good resistance to scratching
  • Environmental friendliness
  • Excellent external durability
What is blasting?

It is a well-known and rapidly expanding method of surface pre-treatment. The surface of the blasted object is cleaned, roughened or otherwise treated by blasting before its final treatment, such as coating or galvanisation. We use the compressed-air method, which is highly effective. This is a technological procedure of surface preparation used for various (usually hard) materials by using a stream of pressurised abrasive particles.

The surface is blasted at various levels:

  • SA – blasting: It removes visible and non-adhesive scale, rust and other impurities. All residuals must fully adhere to the base.
  • SA 2.5 – blasting on an almost clean metal: It removes visible scale, rust and other impurities. Any residual traces of impurities will appear only as light stains in the form of areas or belts.
  • SA 3 – blasting on a fully clean metal: It removes all visible traces of scale, rust and other impurities. The surface has a uniform metallic appearance.
What is chemical pre-treatment by phosphating?

Phosphating is chemical treatment of surface of metal parts for the purpose of increasing the resistance to corrosion and improvement of adhesion for the next surface treatment. It is one of the most frequently used methods of chemical treatment of surfaces during which crystalline tertiary water-insoluble phosphates are created.

The crystalline layer arising during this process is insoluble in water and organic solvents. It has very good cohesion with base metal. Without any further treatments it is suitable as a conversion surface for coating. At present we offer suspension phosphating to our customers, when we remove gross impurities from metal parts at first, this is followed by phosphating at 60°C, rinsing with water and at the end rinsing with demineralised water.

Chemical pre-treatment is another important factor for the final quality of products.
